The political algebra and strategic calculations by political aspirants as April 2011 elections approaches, is now gaining breadth-taking intensity. The vortexes and counter-vortexes of Machiavellianism manifesting in clandestine manipulations, intrigues, scheming, sioganeering, campaigneering and even blackmailing are now lethal and formidable tools in the arsenal of our politicians. Hence, the statesman Henry Brooks Adams (1838-1918) posited that, “Politics~ as a practice~ whatever its professions~ has always been the systematic organization of hatreds”•
