If performance is anything to go by, Uduaghan should have a second term – Onyeisi Ndigbo

The recently confirmed Onyeisi Ndigbo of Delta Central and South Senatorial District, Sir. Peter Chukwu has declared that if performance is anything to go by, Dr.Emmanuel Uduaghan should be given support to return to government house come 2011.

Sir. Peter Chukwu stated this Sunday May 16 when he hosted Igbos resident in the two districts to a reconciliation party at the Great Friendship Social Club in the Okere Ugborikoko area of Warri. While reaffirming the support of his people for Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan towards his return bid, the Onyeisi admonished Igbos resident in the state to shun militancy and other forms of crime in the area. He acknowledged that after a long time of crisis, ego sometimes come to play, but stressed that reconciliation process is on-going.

In a special message, the Delta State governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan revealed that following the resolution of the six year old crisis everything due to Igbos resident in the state have started coming to them from the state government. The governor whose message was delivered by his Special Assistant, Non Indigenes Affairs, Chief Athan Iwuchukwu also announced approval of Warri City Stadium for the celebration of this year’s national Igbo day.

Chief Agbagha Ogbuanu, President, Caretaker Committee Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Delta South and Central zone was among prominent Igbos in the area that attended the ceremony.
