The world’s Deadliest men to watch out for in South Africa 2010: their strengths, Weaknesses

SPORTS!!!

LIONEL MESSI: Even the most dispassionate soccer follower, will agree that this diminutive Argentina is currently the best player in the World, atleast on Barcelona shirt. He is very quick with the ball, but not most pacy and can be effectively taken care of if supply from the midfield is cut off. Barcelona’s game with Inter-Milan at Sansiro, Italy showed that Messi can be checked if closely marked.

CHRISTIANO RONALDO: His pace, dexterity, mesmerizing runs in the wings and potent free kicks are a nightmare to opposing teams. Though believed by many as the second best player in the world at the moment, this Portuguese can be easily marked by an experienced wing back like Patrice Evra and Ashley Cole. The lack of form of Portuguese team may be his biggest undoing in South Africa.

DAVID VILLA: He is one of the World’s most potent finishers that is often not talked about, no thanks to the form of his current club, Valencia of Spain. This Spaniard who is one of the world’s most wanted strikers remains a clinical finisher both within the box and outside. He is strong with great technique but poor team back up could render him ineffective.

WAYNE ROONEY: This Manchester United and English pride is arguable the most technically gifted, strongest and quickest player on the planet at the moment. His biggest weak points are his temperament and nagging injury in the last one month. He remising a torn in any defense, no matter the team he is playing for.

DIDIER DROGBA: He is certainly the best striker in Africa at the moment and one of the best in the world. Though not the most pacy, but he is surely one of the strongest finishers in the globe at the moment. His 29 goals in the just concluded English Premier League, which earned him the golden boot inspite of spell at Angola w010 speaks volume of this Chelsea ace.

SERGIO KUN AGUERO: He is diminutive, skillful and possess great technical ability. The world should watch out for this Argentine who plays his trade at Athletico Madrid.

GONZALLO HIGUIAN: He is another important reason, the world should be worry of the Argentine national team. This Real Madrid smooth finisher is a delight to watch, technically strong and skillful but not the strongest and most pacy.

SAMUEL ETO’FILS: The consistency of he this Cameroonian prodigy in the past 5 years leaves other African countries green with envy. Though not the most pacy, but remains one of the world’s best strikers. The form of the Cameroonian team will however be his biggest undoing.

ARJEN ROBBIN: Call him Dutch machine if you like and you wont be far from the truth. Not often given his due credit, but remains one of the best world’s most potent and skillful wingers. Could easily be frustrated if passes do not get to him on time, but his hunger for result makes him extremely difficult to mark.

FERNANDO TORRES: This Spanish Liverpool goal poacher is arguably the most clinical frontman today in world football. He’s quick, very technical and skillful, but not very pacy, no thanks to recurrent injury.
