DTHA 2011: Hon. Udoh remains unassailable – Hesse

The member representing Government Reservation Area ward in Warri South legislative Arm, Hon. Isaac Edah Hesse has taunted all those aspiring to represent Warri South Constituency I in Delta State House of Assembly come 2011 to have a rethink because the incumbent member representing the constituency, Hon. Omawumi Beatrice Udoh “maintains a pole position” in the impending primaries excerpt she decline re-contesting.

The lawmaker made the declaration in a Press Statement made available exclusively to Fresh Angle. According to him, apart from the bills and resolutions Hon. Udoh has initiated and sponsored in the floor of the State House of Assembly, the charming lawmaker has consistently attracted visible projects such as the ultra modern abattoir at Pessu, tarring of Aritetsoma Street, health centres and a host of other people oriented projects to Warri South Constituency I. He challenged critics of the lawmaker to carry out proper investigation to find out the “various educational and human capital development initiatives”, Hon. Udoh has spent her resources on to uplift people of her constituency. While acknowledging that all those aspiring to represent Warri South Constituency I in 2011 have the constitutional right to do so, Hon. Hesse posited that the business of lawmaking requires experience and consistency, rather than political upstart who may take a long time to key into Dr. Uduaghan’s programme in his second term.

According to him, the manner with which Hon. Omawumi Udoh has maintained a calm posture as well as galvanizing massive support for Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan’s return bid through her Uduaghan Ladies Vanguard which cuts across the entire state speaks of one with political savvy and experience. He enjoined Hon. Udoh not to be dissuaded by the few opposition but to declare her intention to rerun in 2011 “because the constituency is behind her”, he enthused .
