Warri South Council loses 2 staff in 6 days : • Councillors consider motion to avert re-occurrence

The Political class as well as Civil servants working with Warri South local government council was recently thrown into mourning over the death of two of their staff within six days.

Just when the entire council community was grappling with the reality of losing a-48 -year old Admin Staff, Mrs. Jessie Ovwodere in a ghastly motor accident along Oghara, Delta State as a result of brake failure on their return from a funeral ceremony in Edo State, the Council’s Head of Community development department, Mrs. Roseline Mafiejor reportedly died at the University of Benin Teaching hospital after a surprise brief illness. These shocking deaths came on the heels of a recent fatal motorbike accident which inflicted severe fracture on another staff of the council.

Moved by the grave incidents, the council’s legislative arm is seriously considering a resolution that will prevail on the council chairman, Hon. Mofe Edema who himself is a devout Christian to invite a prominent preacher in the area for a special prayer session. The initiative Fresh Angle understands is being canvassed by one of the council’s seasoned legislator, Hon. David Eyitemi Oki.
