LG lawmaker commends corps members over war against illicit drugs

The member representing Esisi ward in Warri South legislative Arm, Hon. David Eyitemi Oki has commended the 2009/2010 batch B&C Corps members for their relentless campaign against intake of illicit drugs.

The lawmaker gave this commendation in an exclusive chat with Fresh Angle at the Warri South Council Secretariat after assisting the Corps members to mount an anti-drugs campaign billboard at the Esisi roundabout in Okere, Warri. He enjoined the Corps members to take the anti-drug campaign to other areas of the city, even as he tasked them not to be dissuaded by detractors or threat.

The President of Anti-Drugs Campaign in Warri, Corper Patrick Nwigwidu, in a telephone chat with Fresh Angle explained that their aim is “to see a drug free society”. He noted that so far, the group which has 17 members have taken the campaign to Nana and Uwangue Colleges in Warri.

The mounting of the billboard which Fresh Angle gathered is in conjunction with NDLEA cost the Corpers sixteen thousand naira and was done June 12th.
