Member of Delta Water Ways Security Committee and House of Assembly hopeful in 2011 general elections, Chief Vincent Okudolor says Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan remains the candidate to beat as far as Delta gubernatorial election for 2011 is concerned.

Chief Okudolor who is eyeing the Warri South Constituency II seat in Delta State House of Assembly come 2011 noted that apart from Dr. Uduaghan’s wealth of experience in governance which span over 10years, Governor Uduaghan’s political savvy and the monumental strides recorded by his administration via the well laid out 3 point project forms a mountain that will be difficult to climb by other aspirants, particularly against the short time left before the 2011 polls will be conducted. He enjoined the “few who are opposing the Governor” to drop the gauntlet and join the winning train “being piloted by Dr. Uduaghan who is a crusader of peace”.

According to the House of Assembly hopeful, the large gathering that thronged the Oleh township stadium, Delta Central rally at Isiokolo, Delta North rally at Ogwashi-uku as well as Kwale where former Delta State Governorship aspirant in 2007, Chief Godswill Obielum hosted Governor Emmanuel Uduaghan is enough to convince all doubting Thomases that there is indeed no credible opposition to Dr. Uduaghan as far as Delta guber race for 2011 is concerned.

Chief Okudolor who has promised to provide quality representation for people of Warri South Constituency II if given the mandate come 2011, challenged Governor Uduaghan’s critics to appreciate his continuous release of funds to DESOPADEC to enable it meet the yearnings of Deltans, particularly those in the oil bearing communities. He also listed some of Dr. Uduaghan’s achievements within this short time to include on-going construction of a second runway at the Osubi Airstrip, Asaba International Airport, dualisation of Ughelli-Asaba highway, Koko-Ugbenu road, provision of street lights as well as viewing centres all over the state.
