Delta Referee Deputy Chair dies 7 days to Christmas

The Deputy Chairman of Delta State Referees Council, Comrade Michael Oritsejolomi Golly on Saturday December 18, 2010 died in shocking circumstances shortly after returning from Port-Harcourt, Rivers State.

Fresh Angle gathered from reliable sources within the family that Comrade Michael Golly who was until his death Secretary to Warri South West Local Education Authority complained of stomach ache on his way from Port-Harcourt but managed to reach Warri before submitting to the cold hands of death.

According to Secretary of Warri South West local government, Hon. Emmanuel Golly, Late Michael Golly wasn’t sick before embarking on the Port-Harcourt journey and the family were still in grief when Fresh Angle visited 2 days after New Year day was celebrated.

Late Michael Oritsejolomi Golly who was born to the Golly and Etuwewe families of Bateren and Deghele in Warri South West local government as well as Ugbomo and Uku families of Jakpa and Okere in Warri North as well as Warri South local government areas died at the prime age of 52. He is survived by his wife, Eunice Golly, 3 Children, brothers, sisters and many relations.

According to a statement by his younger brother, Hon. Emmanuel Golly, arrangements have been concluded for his final burial rites from January 26 through January 28, 2011.
