Two conductors die in early morning auto crash

Two conductors of a lorry load of scrap recently died in a ghastly motor accident in the wee hours at Ekete-Inland junction in Udu local government area of Delta State.

Eye witness account said the lorry with registration number XA 127 KMR was coming from an opposite direction of the road with a high speed when there was the usual early morning harmattan haze.

Due to the blurred vision the driver decided to divert and in the process, rammed into a pavement at the express road.

The two conductors who attempted scampering for safety jumped into the exact spot where the lorry fell and were allegedly sliced to pieces.

Our correspondent reports that the lorry driver immediately rushed to the Ovwian Police station to report the incident.

Efforts to speak with the driver were futile as he was not in good mood when Fresh Angle visited.

Attempts to speak with the police authorities in Ovwian also prove abortive as they were seen interrogating the driver.
