Pastor Nosakharhe Henry Edevbie of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, throne of Grace, Chapel of Joy area have advised Christians to strive for their names to be written in the book of life.

Pastor Edevbie who preached on the topic: the Book of the Lord” drew his text from Psalm 69:28, Isaiah 4:3 and Malachi 3:16. He explained that there is no accidental dropping of names in the Bible since God is the author of the book.

He also pointed out that the spirit of death is looking out for the appointment he had with man. In keeping that appointment, he advised his flock to amend their ways for the year 2011 in order to have their names in the book of life.

He said the only person that can postpone death for the sake of man is God Almighty. He also adds that what will count is how much a man has worked for the Lord. The Christian cleric prayed for his flock to work in order to enjoin the business of God as the New Year gives an opportunity for re-examination of one’s deeds.
