Why I founded Jireh’s Educational Foundation – Widow

A widow in her mid thirties, Patricia Asin Aboyowa says she decided to form an NGO, Jireh’s Educational Foundation to cater for the educational needs of orphans and other less priviledge persons in the society.

Patricia Aboyowa who is a mother of three and owner of a petty stationery shop in Ugbuwangue area of Warri told Newsmen that in spite of the difficulties she encounters daily as a single parent following the loss of her hubby a few years ago, she is driven by the passion to serve humanity, particularly the underpriviledge in the society. While tracing the initiative of the NGO to Genesis 22:1-14, Proverbs 19:17 and John 6:5-13, Patricia Aboyowa revealed plans to distribute 5,000 notebooks to children of school age by January 2011. According to her, the distribution of the notebooks which costs about N500,000.00 will be channeled through churches to ensure that it gets to the real needy in the society as well as ensure even spread.

While appealing for financial support from well meaning individuals, corporate bodies, groups, churches, government as well as local and international agencies in her effort to address the free fall in the standard of our educational system, Patricia Aboyowa thanked the immediate past Chairman of Warri North local government, Hon. Michael Diden and a few other individuals for their financial support and encouragement.

Pupils from Agbeje, Isibovwe, Ogiame and Ikengbuwa Primary Schools have benefited in the past two distributions of textbooks by Jireh’s Foundation.

The founder of Jireh’s Foundation, Patricia Asin Aboyowa disclosed that all forms of support and partnership should be directed to shop 16, Cash Madam Stores, Ugbuwangue road, Ugbuwangue-Warri or GSM 08131003821.
