Lakeland School celebrates decade of excellence • Honours long term staff

Lakeland School Ogunu, Warri on Thursday December 16, 2010 celebrated a decade of academic excellence in her journey towards building a “total child” at the school premises.

Long term staff that started with the school from inception were honoured at the occasion for their unrelenting dedication and hard work.

Our Industrial Attaché reports that highpoint of the ceremony was the presentation of a brand new kia picanto car as the star prize after a lucky dip was conducted. Mrs. Okeke Ngozi, (middle) Head teacher of the Nursery section, who had earlier won a freezer in a separate draw, also won the star prize.

Responding after the presentation, Mrs. Okeke Ngozi thanked the school Proprietress, Mrs. A. Osarumwense and urged her to continue her good works, even as she encouraged her colleagues to be dedicated and hard working, noting that “the sky should not be their limit”.

Other long term staff at the occasion walked away with prizes ranging from LCD TV, Home Theatre and Freezers. Every staff was a winner as each went home with a gift.
