By: Celestine Ukah

Children of victims of November 26, 2009 DSC roundabout accident are accusing the State government of neglect after several promises.

One of the victims’ son, Comrade Ede Okuro, who spoke to our Correspondent said the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan had earlier promised to assist the children and compensate family of the victims when he visited the scene of the accident but up till now there have been no sign of respite.

Comrade Ede appealed to the state governor, Dr. Emmanuel Uduaghan to redeem the promise he made at the scene of the accident.

It will be recalled that the DSC roundabout November 26, 2009 accident, claimed the lives of six people while returning from Port-Harcourt with their palm oil. On reaching DSC roundabout in Aladja, Delta State, the State anti rubbery squad allegedly stopped the bus demanding N400 and the driver of the bus pleaded for N200, in the course of negotiating with the police crew a tanker loaded with crude oil on a hot chase by a team of Joint Task Force lost control and ran into the bus killing all six passengers, leaving the driver as the only survivor because he was outside the bus negotiating with the Police Officer.
