Iwere affirms allegiance, as Ugbo Mefa Elders Assembly inaugurates Working Committee

Prominent Itsekiri activist and pioneer chairman of newly inaugurated Ugbo Mefa Working Committee, Prince David Eyekonogban Iwere aka Onne has promised to carry out all functions as given to him by the Ugbo Mefa Elders Assembly.

Prince Iwere who was the pioneer chairman of Okere Youth in Warri Urban made the affirmation Saturday February 5 at the residence of Chairman of Ugbo Mefa Elders Assembly, Prince Agindotan Yonwuren in Ugbuwangue, Warri during the inauguration of the Working Committee to cater for the interests of Ugbuwangue, Ode-Itsekiri Olu, Okere, Ekurede, Ugbori and Orugbo communities as far as dealings with Delta Ports and other corporate bodies operating within its area is concerned.

Fresh Angle reliably gathered that the committee’s tenure will be for a period of 3 years, unless otherwise stated by the General Assembly.

The inauguration of the committee had earlier been communicated to the Port Manager of Delta Ports in Warri in a letter dated January 26, 2011 requesting the Port and its affiliate companies to co-operate with the working committee.

Other members of the committee are: Johnson Eyenuro, Sunday Beji, Ani Henry Olugbo, Mark Agbeyegbe, Tosan Okorodudu, Kingsley Ajanemiwa, Alfred Apoh, Anthony Odongharo, Steve Ejejigbe, Joseph Ogholaja and Roland Omagbemi.
